Travertine and Wood Ceiling Pendant with Opal Glass

A wide, shallow travertine dish sits under a turned wooden half-sphere, with an opal glass diffuser tucked beneath the stone. The glass softens the bulb so the light reads as a warm glow rather than a bright point, spilling downwards and washing back off the pale underside of the travertine. Because the stone is solid, nothing escapes upwards - the light stays low and pooled where you want it. It takes one G9 bulb up to 5W, which is not supplied.

Hang it low over a dining table or a kitchen island, where the flat stone reads as a disc from below and the light stays on the table rather than the ceiling. A pair either side of a bed works well too, dropped to just above headboard height.
