Natural Agate Branch Chandelier, Gold Metal Frame

A branching metal chandelier hung with slices of natural agate, each one cut with its own veining and shade of colour. Small G4 LED lamps sit along the arms so the light passes through the stone and picks out the pattern in it, throwing colour outwards as well as light downwards. The warm-white light is spread across many small points rather than one bright source, so the effect is soft and scattered. Three sizes are made, from a compact 30 cm (11.8") version to an 80 cm (31.5") spread for a large room.

• Natural agate slices: Every stone slice has its own veining, tone and edge, and may show cracks, hollows or uneven colour. Those are characteristics of the material, not faults, and they mean no two of these chandeliers are alike.
• Light through stone: The lamps sit close to the agate, so the slices glow from behind and cast coloured highlights onto the ceiling and walls. Warm-white light throughout.
• Open branching form: Thin metal arms radiate from a polished central ball, filling a lot of visual space without blocking sightlines - useful over a table or a seating area.
• Takes G4 LED capsules: Wired in at a ceiling rose and supplied with its light source fitted. The capsules are a standard G4 base if one ever needs changing.
• Adjustable drop: The rod height can be set on installation, so the fitting can hang low over a table or tucked up closer to the ceiling.
• Choice of colour and size: Agate is offered in blue, green, red, yellow, pink and a mixed multicolour, in three diameters - pick the spread to suit the room.
