Brushed Metal Rectangular Up and Down LED Wall Light

A slim rectangular metal plate that sits close to the wall and throws light in two directions: a wide cone up towards the ceiling and a matching one down the wall below. The metal face is brushed, so it catches a little sheen without shining back at you, and the light itself stays hidden behind the top and bottom edges. The LED is an SMD board fixed inside the fitting, giving a warm white light. Two sizes are offered, 15 cm (5.9") and 20 cm (7.9") tall, in Gold, Black, Coffee, White or Grey.

• Light up and down, not out: Two narrow openings at the top and bottom edge send twin cones of warm light along the wall. It grazes the surface rather than filling the room, so plaster, concrete and textured paint pick up shape and shadow.
• Warm, glare-free at eye level: Because the LED faces up and down behind the plate, you see the pools of light rather than the source. That makes it comfortable beside a bed or along a stairwell where you pass it at head height.
• Sits tight to the wall: The plate mounts on a small back box, so the fitting barely projects. It works in a corridor or beside a doorway where anything bulkier would be knocked.
• Hardwired, no bulb to source: It wires into a mains wall point and has no switch of its own, so it runs off a wall switch or a lighting circuit. The SMD LED board is built into the fitting and comes fitted.
• Five finishes, two sizes: Gold, Black, Coffee, White and Grey, each in a brushed metal face. Choose the 15 cm (5.9") for a tighter spot such as a narrow hall, or the 20 cm (7.9") where it needs to hold its own on a larger wall.

Best in pairs: either side of a bed at around 130-150 cm (51.2-59.1") from the floor, or spaced evenly up a stairwell or along a hallway wall. In a living room it works well flanking a chimney breast or a piece of art, where the twin beams add height without adding a lamp to the floor.
